Saudia announces Dammam – Al Najaf service for summer

In a continued effort to expand its air network, Saudi Arabia announces the introduction of a new air link between Dammam and Al Najaf in Iraq, scheduled for early June 2024. This initiative is confirmed by the General Authority of civil aviation of Saudi Arabia and will be operated by the national company Saudia.

This new route is in addition to the already existing connections to Baghdad and Erbil. While precise details on flight frequency are not yet available, additional announcements are expected in the coming days.

The addition of this new destination is part of a larger plan to increase the number of annual passengers to three hundred and thirty million and expand the network of destinations served from Saudi Arabia to two hundred and fifty. The inauguration of the Dammam-Al Najaf link is therefore seen as an important strategic step in achieving these ambitious objectives.
