The Saudi Arabian General Authority for Civil Aviation has issued a circular to all airlines operating at airports within the Kingdom, including private flights, regarding the procedures for verifying the COVID-19 vaccination status of expatriates before they board flights to Saudi Arabia.
The circular stipulates two ways for foreign tourists to verify their eligibility, either by showing their vaccination status in the “Tawakkalna” app or by submitting a report proving immunization in Saudi Arabia via the “Qudoom” platform. Saudi authorities stressed that legal action would be taken against violators.
In a previous press conference on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, Saudi Arabia’s health ministry spokesman Dr Mohammed Al-Abd Al-Aly said that epidemiological indicators in the Kingdom and in the world continued to decline. He noted that the world has already vaccinated nearly 6 billion people.
As the Saudi Kingdom announced the revival of its airspace to various airlines, Al-Abd Al-Aly urges everyone to complete their two-dose vaccination and continue to adhere to COVID-19 precautions.
