This September, Flynas, the Saudi low-cost airline, is significantly expanding its network with the introduction of flights to three major cities in the United Arab Emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. This expansion is in addition to the three already operational routes to Dubai from four major cities in Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Medina.
Historically focused on the domestic market to complement Saudia’s offering, Flynas has undertaken a strategic transformation by launching into regional and international destinations.
Flynas builds a bridge between Saudi Arabia and Europe
Among recent developments, the low-cost carrier has inaugurated a new route directly connecting Jeddah to Berlin, Germany. This direct flight is a first for the airline, marking its entry into the European market with scheduled, non-stop flights.
With these new routes, Flynas no longer plays a complementary role to Saudia, but becomes a major player in the regional and international low-cost airline industry. The addition of these destinations illustrates the company’s ambition to connect Saudi Arabia to the rest of the world in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
