2023 was an exceptional year for Flynas, the Saudi low-cost airline, which saw impressive growth. Passenger traffic increased significantly, reaching 11.1 million passengers, an increase of 28% compared to 2022. This success is mainly explained by the expansion of its flight network, including the opening of new routes and strengthening existing domestic and international connections. The addition of 19 new aircraft brought the Flynas fleet to a total of 64 aircraft, supporting this growth.
A significant milestone of 2023 was the inauguration of Flynas’ fourth operational base at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina. This expansion reflects the ambition of the Saudi subsidiary to become a major player in the aviation sector.
The long-term objective of the Saudi low-cost airline is ambitious: to welcome 100 million passengers per year and connect Saudi Arabia to 250 destinations around the world by 2030.
