Wizzair has announced the official launch of a non-stop service between London Gatwick and Medina in Saudi Arabia. The low-cost airline plans to roll out its 11-hour direct flight during the summer. The new route, which will operate daily, complements the airline’s intercontinental network and offers more convenient choices for passengers travelling internationally.
The non-stop flights to Medina bring more British travellers to Saudi Arabia, and provide an additional choice of transport for business travellers and pilgrims.
The low-cost airline will connect its London Gatwick base with Medina Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia on board an A321XLR aircraft.
Regarding this new development, Marion Geoffroy, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK said: “Our growth from London with the upcoming inauguration of our route is a decision that responds to strong demand between the two countries.”
As a reminder, Wizzair already operates flights from London-Gatwick to Jeddah, another destination in Saudi Arabia.
