China Southern Airlines, one of China’s largest air carriers, continues to strengthen its global presence with the introduction of new international routes. The company recently inaugurated a direct line connecting Beijing Daxing to Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia, since April 16, marking a new chapter in air connections between China and the Middle East.
This new connection is part of the airline’s ambitious summer program to expand its network and meet the growing demand for international travel. The Beijing-Riyadh route operates with Airbus A330-300s.
But the expansion doesn’t stop there. China Southern Airlines also announced the upcoming opening of another significant route from Shenzhen to Riyadh’s King Khalid Airport. Scheduled to start on June 3, 2024, this new line will be served twice a week.
These developments are an integral part of the Saudi Air Connectivity program, a Saudi government initiative aimed at improving the country’s air connectivity with the rest of the world.
These new routes between China and Riyadh are not only strategic for China Southern Airlines, but also represent crucial gateways for trade and tourism, strengthening the air bridge between Asia and the Middle East.
