Saudia: His plane tickets now include a Transit Visa

In an effort to increasingly improve the comfort of its passengers traveling on its flights, Saudia Airlines, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has integrated an electronic transit visa system into its flight tickets. This recent initiative by the airline will make it easier for foreign travelers to obtain a transit visa when traveling on its various international routes.

The system has been designed to simplify the application process for travelers who need a transit visa while traveling.

International passengers can apply for an international transit visa (e-visa) which allows them to stay in the country for up to seventy two hours depending on their destination or connecting airports and travel requirements. For this, they must meet one condition: Present a passport with a validity period of six months or more.

Once a traveler has obtained an electronic transit visa by presenting , they can print or download it directly from their ticket payment page. Passengers must follow Saudia Airlines guidelines as well as Saudi immigration rules while in the country.

As part of this innovative initiative, all passengers transiting through King Khalid International Airport (RUH) or King Abdulaziz International Airport can apply for an electronic transit visa so that they can move more freely between terminals without having to pass by the formalities in the offices of the national airline company in the airports of the country during their stopover period.

This reform is part of Riyadh Vision 2030 and aims to provide more convenience and simplified immigration procedures for travelers transiting through any airport in Saudi Arabia.
