Iraqi Airways is back on routes serving Saudi Arabia

The airline company Iraqi Airways has recovered its flights to Arabia Sadoute, after an absence of 24 months.

The Iraqi Ministry of Transport said that it was decided that the General Company for Iraqi Airways would resume its direct flights from Iraqi airports to the airports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

She explained that this decision came after high-level coordination with the Hajj and Umrah Authority and the Saudi side to facilitate the transfer of Iraqi pilgrims according to the instructions stipulated in the two countries, according to the Iraqi News Agency.

And flights between Iraq and Saudi Arabia were suspended for nearly two years due to the Corona pandemic crisis, according to the Iraqi News Agency.

And Saudi Arabia announced earlier, that the issuance of permits to perform Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, will be limited to immunized people who have received two doses of the Corona virus vaccine approved in the Kingdom, and the cases excluded from taking the vaccine.

She called on pilgrims who completed the reservation without completing the two vaccination doses, to quickly take the second dose 48 hours before the date of the permit to avoid cancellation, noting that the dates for taking and completing the vaccine doses in the vaccine centers are available throughout the Kingdom.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia had announced full readiness to receive pilgrims and worshipers in the Grand Mosque, with full capacity, as of last Sunday.
